Chroma is proud to offer a shoppable space for the 2020 San Francisco Decorator Showcase.
The Sundown Lounge is a thoughtful mix of uniquely inspired pieces by Chroma, exquisite vintage, and contemporary artworks. The room is a showcase of Chroma’s multidisciplinary approach to the design process. Chroma references points in history, art, fashion fabrication details and happenings in contemporary culture to create a unique and deeply personal narrative environment in this game lounge.

Chroma has created a tonal, wool area rug in collaboration with Mark Nelson Designs. Featuring loop and cut-pile and an inverted ceiling pattern from Gio Ponti’s Villa Planchart, Caracas c.1957. The area rug’s tufting is the only signifier of the geometric shaped patterns.

Referenced from a 1934 historic sofa created in collaboration between Danish designer Vilhelm Lauritzen and Danish cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær, the sofa’s curvaceous form gently embraces its sitters. The piece features a custom laser-cut pattern inspired by a 1970’s floor from an Italian Villa originally conceived by the renowned furniture designer Maria Pergay.
