Young Pioneers

With a backyard view of Coit Tower, these world travelers wanted their interior to be just as inspiring.

The young couple began the process feeling quite traditional, but true to their globe-trotting nature, they thirsted after something a little different. We erred on the modern side when combining old-world objects from their travels and contemporary pieces. One of the top priorities was to be thorough so these adventurers could keep design off of their to-do list for the long term. It was important to get them back to simple enjoyment of home.

Silk rugs and woven window coverings complement the deep brown palette of wide plank oak floors. A vintage chrome chandelier and textured light fixture add a warm glow to entertaining spaces.

Calacatta marble, walnut cabinetry and a subtle cream, blue and lavender palette inspired by the bay landscape makes for a serene master bath as restorative and luxurious as the rest of the house.
